Hi there These food storage containers have the plastic recycle number 7 on the bottom. As I understand it the number 7 means it is made of a mixed bag of plastics including the dreaded BPA. Can you please clarify with the manufacturer and kindly let me know? If there is no BPA why is the number 7 used? thanks

We regularly check with manufacturers to ensure their products remain BPA-Free for the peace of mind of all parents. The recycle number 7 has no bearing on whether the product contains BPA or is BPA-Free, it can be either. You are right that several types of plastics can be labelled with a 7, however in this case the Food Storage Containers are definitely BPA-Free.
