Many baby’s have an attachment to their baby bottles, it's very important to get them to transitions to a sippy cup. This is because bottle feeding alone past your child's first year can dramatically increase her risk of tooth decay and other teethe problems.
Give your baby the control to decide - Let her pick out a sippy cup
Make it routine - Give her an opportunity to investigate and play with the cup before you expect him to drink from it regularly.
Stay positive - Begin by substituting a cup for his bottle at one feeding each day. When she seems more comfortable with it, increase cup feedings.
Make it fun and use a straw - Some baby’s find that sucking on a straw is similar to the bottle, making the transition easier.
Shaken not stirred - Put juice or water in the sippy cup. She may be more likely to try it if it doesn't hold the same drink as the bottle.
